Oklahoma Spring – 70 degrees –
sunny and windy –
when it used to be too early for tornadoes –
but, you never know now –
the wind sometimes chilly,
sometimes warm –
I don’t know why that is, but
I remember it.
There are enough meteorologists
in Oklahoma
to explain why this is.
I only know this –
I remember – remember a lot
or too much –
I think to myself –
introducing our youngest to
his grandparents at the cemetery –
the Bradford pears in bloom,
stinking up the place
as they do every year.
I will remember this –
even if he won’t.
